Hisense Vidda Releases Low-Price Z100 100″ TV, Will It Greatly Impact the Laser TV Market?

(Last Updated On: October 27, 2022)

On October 25, it was reported that Vidda launched a 100 inch IMAX cinema giant screen TV, Vidda Z100, through an online conference. The pre-sale price was 2345 USD. As the official sponsor of the 2022 World Cup, Hisense’s young fashion brand Vidda’s new Z100 not only has IMAX certification, but also is the official TV set for the 2022 World Cup.

In terms of appearance design, the Vidda Z100 adopts a metal body and metal base, the front shell is matched with a noble quicksand printing color, and the logo adopts a laser engraving process. In terms of size, compared with the current mainstream 98 inch large screen products, the 100 inch TV has an additional screen viewing area equivalent to that of 10 iPhone 14 screens.

In terms of image quality, Vidda Z100 is equipped with 256 backlight partitions and adopts matrix dynamic light control. The peak brightness reaches 1000nits, and the color gamut reaches 95% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The color standard value is △ E ≈ 0.87. Like Vidda’s previous giant screen TV, the Vidda Z100 is also equipped with HDMI2.1 interface, which supports VRR variable refresh rate, ALLM automatic low delay technology, Dark-E dynamic dark field enhancement technology, and full channel 4K 120Hz high brush display.

At the same time, the Vidda Z100 also supports 120Hz MEMC dynamic compensation technology. In terms of sound, the Vidda Z100 is equipped with 61W power speakers, including an independent subwoofer. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, as well as Waves Master Sound Effect and DTS V-X Sound Effect are supported.

In terms of performance, Vidda Z100 is equipped with MT9652 chip and 4GB+128GB storage, supporting WiFi6 and far field+near field intelligent voice. It is equipped with JUUI 7.0 operating system with film and television platform. It has high-definition/ultra high-definition film and television dramas, children, learning, fitness and other contents, and built-in exclusive conference mode.

For those who plan to purchase a 100 inch TV, the difficulties in home entry and installation of the large body are all problems that must be considered. The Vidda Z100 provides free home delivery and installation services.

With the launch of the Vidda Z100, the price threshold of the 100 inch large screen has been lowered again. Previously, users wanted to choose a real 100 inch TV, in addition to the flagship product of the large screen, which is often tens of thousands of dollars, the lowest laser TV budget was also $2000. The Vidda Z100 directly lowered the price again, which is close to the price of laser TV. As the World Cup is about to start next month, it is believed that many fans are considering changing the big screen to experience a more immersive football field with the quadrennial sports event.

As we all know, Hisense is the absolute king of laser TV. Is it internal competition for them to launch such a cheap 100 inch LCD TV? It is undoubtedly a good thing for consumers.
